KOUTALIDES
INGREDIENTS
• 1 kilo flour
• 1 glass of water
• 1 kilo extra virgin olive oil
• 500 g honey
• 2-3 tsp cinnamon
• 1 sachet dry yeast
PREPARATION
We put the flour and the yeast in a bowl with the water. We stir till it becomes batter. We add water if necessary. We heat the oil in a pot and when it is really hot we take a tablespoon of the batter and throw it in the oil. We turn it so that it becomes golden on both sides. We repeat until the batter is finished. We place our “koutalides” on a platter and decorate with honey and cinnamon.
