Chalva with semolina

INGREDIENTS
•    500 g semolina
•    1 teacup extra virgin olive oil
•    2 tbsp honey
•    500 g sugar
•    250 g almonds
•    2 glasses of water


PREPARATION
We put the oil in a pot and heat it. We throw in the semolina and stir continuously till it becomes a bit golden. To prepare our syrup we dissolve the sugar in the water and then add the honey. We add the syrup to the semolina stirring continuously and carefully and at the end we add the almonds. When the semolina sets and spreads it is ready. We finally place the “chalva” in a cake pan and flip it on a platter.
